Summer Milestones – MACI Grant, Future Focus, and Leadership Transition

Things have been happening this summer at MVP Workshop, and we’re here to share the news!

1. 3327 MACI Grant: Pioneering Minimal Anti-Collusion Infrastructure

We’re thrilled to announce that our R&D center – 3327, successfully completed the MACI grant in collaboration with the Ethereum Foundation. MACI, which stands for Minimal Anti-Collusion Infrastructure, is a groundbreaking project that aims to enhance the integrity of voting systems and reduce the risk of collusion.

What is MACI?

MACI is a collection of smart contracts, ZK circuits, and packages designed to build robust programs on the Ethereum blockchain. MACI addresses critical issues related to conspiracy, bribery, and censored voting, ensuring the fairness and security of voting processes.

MACI achieves its goals by implementing innovative solutions. When a voter’s public key is changed, the coordinator should not be able to discern the identity of the new key’s owner. To achieve this, voters must prove their ownership of the old public key and demonstrate their ability to create a new one without revealing their identity. This involves making Zero-Knowledge (ZK) proofs. Nullifiers and encrypted states ensure that each voter can generate precisely one new key based on the previous one.

MACI can be used in various use cases, such as:

  • Voting within companies
  • DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations)
  • Voting at the state level
  • Popularization of Web3 through fair electionsŽ

The Dedicated Team Behind MACI

Behind the success of the MACI grant, a dedicated team of experts from 3327 has put their expertise to work. Marija Mikić, Uroš Kukić, Aleksandar Veljković, and Mališa Pušonja, among others, have been instrumental in bringing this project to fruition.

These are their thoughts on the project:

Aleksandar Veljković: “Working on the MACI anonymity upgrade was challenging yet inspiring. It required innovative approaches to protocol design, zero-knowledge circuit optimizations, and implementation of the new protocol features, maintaining the base protocol intact. Besides all the difficulties and challenges – we made it!”

Marija Mikić: “It was fun and challenging to work on research (and then implementation) that can improve the MACI protocol by adding anonymity. I think we did a good job, and I am very proud of each team member.”

MACI is a testament to our team’s innovative spirit and collaborative efforts at MVP Workshop and our R&D center, 3327. It represents a significant step in making Web3 technologies more secure, transparent, and resistant to collusion.

We dedicated our expertise and time to MACI as we are committed to fostering long-term partnerships within the Web3 space and will emphasize grants and ecosystem development as we move forward.

2. Workshops: Leading Product Strategy and Execution

Workshops have been integral to MVP Workshop’s journey since our inception. Hence the name.

They have played a pivotal role in bringing our core values to life – combining deep technical Web3 expertise and product understanding. With the invaluable domain knowledge contributed by our esteemed partners, workshops have proven to be the crucible where these strengths shine.

Our product discovery workshops have gained significant recognition over the past seven years. These workshops mark the beginning of our engagement with a new project. They catalyze transforming ideas into tangible solutions, leveraging our accumulated expertise in Web3 technology and product development.

Now, we offer a diverse range of workshops tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients and their products. Our workshops are facilitated by experts with extensive experience, individuals who have successfully navigated challenging and impactful projects in the Web3 arena.

Our modular approach to workshops makes them perfect for projects of different complexity, regardless of stage. There are currently 6 different modules that we offer:

Business Validation: Designed to validate the business aspects of a product or idea and find its edge in the marketplace

Product Discovery: These Workshops are focused on defining the main problem and providing a detailed MVP while putting all other noise far behind in the background.

Product Design: Bringing the MVP into life from just a list of features into a clickable, low-fidelity prototype

Tokenomics: With the MVPWorkshop-made Token Modelling Canvas, we can design and understand how your blockchain token creates value and incentivizes participants within a decentralized ecosystem

Tech Deep Dive: Our engineering experts pull the MVP apart in order to find the best web3, architectural, and infrastructure approaches with security and stability as top priorities

Delivery: These sessions aim to map out all the risks that may derail the project and prepare for them while also creating a holistic plan for transferring the idea from paper into working software that users will love interacting with.

The primary goal of these workshops is to provide our clients with a profound understanding of their products. Clients understand their product’s potential, associated risks, technological requirements, and more through meticulously designed sessions and in-depth research.

Our workshops are versatile and suitable for various stages of product development.

3. Leadership Transition: Welcoming Mališa Pušonja as CEO

In this period of transformation, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Aleksandar Bijelić for his outstanding contributions as our former CEO. In the last year and a half, Aleksandar played a crucial role in scaling our teams, expanding the network of partners and services that MVP Workshop provides, and carefully analyzing and responding to market needs. Without him, MVPW would not be what it is today, and we are grateful for everything we have been through together. As we look to the future, we are pleased to announce that Mališa Pušonja, one of the founders and CTO of MVP Workshop, will take over the CEO role in the future. Mališa brings experience and a solid vision to guide MVP Workshop into its next chapter.

In conclusion, these developments mark an exciting phase in our journey. We remain dedicated to pushing the boundaries of Web3 innovation, forming enduring partnerships, and delivering exceptional value to our clients.

Stay tuned for more updates and initiatives!
